Biochar cookstove

Design of a « biochar cookstove », a cookstove generating a flame thanks to the pyrolysis of unused organic matter (dead leaves, twigs …) and allowing to obtain a fertilizer sequestering CO2: biochar (biological charcoal). The design of this stove is part of the Biomimicry Europa biomimetic reforestation program Arbres Sauveurs, in partnership with the Haitian company D & E Green. The preliminary research was carried out by the Enzyme&Co collective.
A first model has been manufactured, improvements are underway.

Here the test of the first prototype in Haiti, with some views of the biomass used (sugar cane waste) and the biomass before and after the pryolysis.
